Suomi.fi Messages is here! It is now possible to receive mail from the authorities electronically
Published 23/1/2020Through Suomi.fi Messages, citizens can receive newsletters, decisions and other important official messages electronically direct to the Suomi.fi Web Service instead of the traditional paper mail.
Emergency SMS can now be sent to the 112 number – service users are required to register in advance

State employees take up skiing: If 100,000 citizens activate electronic messages from the authorities, the authorities promise to ski 10,000 kilometres
Published 22/1/2020The Population Register Centre and the Finnish Tax Administration invite Finnish citizens to move to electronic communication with state authorities instead of paper mail. If 100,000 Finns activate the Suomi.fi Messages service by the end of February, Population Register Centre Director General Janne Viskari and Tax Administration Director General Markku Heikura, together with their colleagues, promise to clock up 10,000 kilometres on cross-country skis.

Suomi.fi e-Identification: Danske Bank’s security cards will no longer be in use after 14 September
Published 12/9/2019Danske Bank has announced that it will no longer use conventional code cards, or security cards, after 14 September. This also applies to Suomi.fi e-Identification and all public administration services that use it for identification purposes.
